Pinspiration | August 2015

Pinterest is one of my main sources of inspiration for my outfits, and one of my biggest obsessions! Seriously, I can easily spend hours pinning anything from clothes, to hair and beauty looks, to my dream apartment interiors, places I want to travel to, and treats to bake.

This month, I have been endlessly searching and pinning outfits that will take me from Summer to Autumn, which is coming around super quickly in Scotland, not that we had much of a Summer!

As you can tell, jumpers and coats are my favourite things, and I am a lover of monochrome and neutrals, simple minimalistic looks are my favourites, and the combinations in these outfits are perfect!

Oh how I wish that everything I pinned made it's way into my wardrobe!

Makeup Mix | Everyday

I have been loving minimal makeup recently, just a look I can put together effortlessly and look a bit more awake! Some of these products are long time favourites, but some are new and I don't know how I have ever done my makeup without them (aka. the concealer - if you don't already have it, RUN GO GET IT NOW) because they are THAT good. 

Nars Palette - I bought this as a treat when I moved to London last year and it is SO good. I love how you can do contour, bronze, blush, highlight and I have even used the bronzer shade for a quick fix eyeshadow. The mirror in this makes me love it even more, so easyyyyyy. I'm a sucker for Nars (as you can probably tell!).

Benefit Mascara - When I got this sample with Elle magazine back in January, I hated it! It felt too heavy, like I could literally pick it off my eyelashes, however a few months down the line and the formula is dryer and now I love it! It gives you length and volume AND curls my lashes nicely! 

Nars Concealer - THE HOLY GRAIL. I know every girl on this planet swears by this concealer, but it has just come into my life and yes it's as good as everyone says. It doesn't feel cakey yet it covers everything from spots to dark under eye circles and I LOVE IT!

Topshop Lipstick - Pink is probably my favourite lip colour to wear and this is the perfect shade for everyday and it is a staple in my makeup bag. And the anniversary rose-gold packaging is so pretty!

Nars Tinted Moisturiser - This is by far the best light base I've ever used! It is super light and moisturising, and doesn't feel like you have anything on, but it is also super buildable if you do want a little more coverage! I definitely prefer a tinted moisturised or BB cream most of the time, especially when in summer when it's warmer cause foundation feels GROSS in the sun.

Welcome to my new blog! I have had so much time to actually read and keep up to date with my favourite blogs since finishing uni, and it really inspired me to start blogging again. I loved blogging my time living as an intern in London last year, but that blog was slowly neglected once I returned to uni and the demands of fourth year caught up with me!

I'm currently job hunting, which is  a long and tiring process, however I have had a few really good opportunities and I'm still super motivated to get my career in fashion and know it takes time! So for fun, I have decided to start this new blog and some of my favourite posts to read are Whats In My Bag... so here goes!

I change my handbag most days depending on what I need, however these are the staples that make their way into/are found at the bottom of whatever bag I have!

Sunglasses - Although we're not having much of a summer, it is still bright and my eyes get super sensitive when I drive so these come in handy! My sister picked these up in Urban Outfitters, and I was obsessed with them so she got a pair for me too. I LOVE THEM.

Nars Concealer - Good for on the go touch ups. This is quite a recent addition to my makeup collection/handbag, however it is already my favourite thing and I don't know how I have lived without it!

Tanya Burr Lipgloss - This is possibly my favourite ever lipgloss, its the perfect everyday colour and the formula is AMAZING. I can't wait to get my hands on some of the new TB products!

Coin Purse - I have so many purses that are much nicer than this, but I always find myself reaching for my smaller ones. This one caught my eye in Brandy Melville and I couldn't resist.

Ring - 99% of the time the rings I wear end up in the bottom of my bag by the end of the day. This one is from Accesorize years ago and the colour is so pretttttty.

Lip Balm - I bought this EOS lip balm the last time I was in America and it has been my favourite ever since! So moisturising and easy to use on the go.

Hairband - This is an invisibobble and it is now the only hair bobble I will use! They don't tug on your hair, leave kinks and best of all they don't give you that awful hair-hurting feeling when your hair's been up all day - basically if you have hair you need these in your life.

Antibacterial Gel - Anyone who knows me knows that I am the biggest germaphobe, so this is a no brainer and I genuinely fear leaving the house without a bottle. Lifesaver.

Jo Malone Perfume - OMG. Jo Malone is quickly becoming one of my favourite brands ever. All of the scents smell so fresh and good and although Blackberry & Bay is my signature smell, I picked up this mini Peony & Blush Suede in duty free at the airport and it will probs be my new smell. Love it.
